Me and a few guys here at work are looking at putting together a team of drivers/mechanics wanting to run in the Carolina 24 hr event July 26th-27th. Also we are looking for someone willing to donate/sell super cheap car for LeMons project. It needs to be a car that the owner will not care about losing. the LeMons race is killer on the car, Literally. there is a raffle midway through the race for the crowd to have one of the cars in the field to be pulled from the race and demolished on the spot. So, dont be too attached to the car. also one of the stipulations to the race is the car cannot be worth more than $500. and as they say $500 is $500. Although the safety equipment,IE cage, harnesses, brakes wheels, tires, do not count toward the cost of the vehicle. We are also interested in any sponsers that might want to help fund the project. the safety equipment can be costly. for instance the drivers must have proper gear. like a fire retardant suit, and regulation approved helmets. Anyway, anyone interested please let me know.
Car Update: I think we found our car. A friend of mine has an E30. I am awaiting a price.
