We got a vinyl graphics sponsor! Ingmar Bach has agreed to work with us as he prepares to launch his sign business.
Car Update: Man, a roll cage is a lot of work. we put 5 hours into it yesterday and I does not seem like we got that far. Also It sucks when the car catches on fire, then you realize you are welding next to the gas tank. Talk about your ass puckering up! Then we all looked like a bunch of union guys, one guy welding and five people watching him work - we all had water and fire extinguishers (like that is going to help). At least it made us feel better.
We still need a couple of parts to meet the tech requirements. The exhaust needs to be fixed - we need the down pipe section of an “I”. We need a universal steering wheel adapter. And tires!!!. We need any kind of half way grippy tire that will go on a 14” bottle cap rim. We need a five point harness. If any one knows somebody that has one willing to sell, or a vendor that can cut us a break please let me know. We tried to take some pictures of the cage work tonight, but of course the typical happens - you take three pictures and the damn batteries die.
